Safer holidays are plain sailing

Everyone at Nicols is delighted to have seen the news that France has been included in the list of countries that are safe to travel to from Friday 10th July. The most recent update from the British government also sees the dropping of the 14-day quarantine period that was initially required on return to the UK.

This latest relaxation of lockdown restrictions has ignited many peoples’ cravings to get away for their annual holiday. Some are already thinking about where they might travel to in 2021 while others are still hoping to fit in a break this summer.

What is going to be important in this decision-making process however is finding a holiday idea that embraces the need for social distancing while trying to keep as much normality as possible. A boating holiday does just this!

France’s rivers and canals, and our Nicols bases which sit on them, are mostly located in countryside settings off the beaten track. A self-drive boating holiday will take you to plenty of interesting places on and around the waterways and you can easily avoid being in busy tourist spots and major cities if you prefer.

Another huge benefit of a boating holiday is that your accommodation – a stylish and spacious floating home-from-home, goes with you and the only people coming close to it are you and your crew. Add to that the extra cleaning practices that Nicols have in place before and after you travel and you can relax with complete peace of mind.

For the remainder of the 2020 boating holiday season Nicols customers will find some excellent last-minute offers. For those thinking further ahead there is also an early booking offer for 2021.

In addition to France, Nicols also has a wide selection of boating holidays in Germany, the Netherlands and Hungary which are also countries listed in the most recent update.
