Your canal boat holiday takes you cruising across beautiful countryside towards the northern shores of Brittany where you might even get a sea view!

Departure base

Your canal boating holiday in Brittany begins on the River Vilaine and begins at the Nicols base in Glénac, located in the heart of Morbihan. Located just 11km from Redon, the town of Glénac is easily accessible by train (Redon TGV) or by plane (Nantes airport). If you travel to Glénac by car then the Nicols base is equipped with parking and a private garage to park your vehicle.

Glénac: our team will take you out on the boat in the port of Glénac and if necessary accompany you to the first lock.

Redon:
historic town with pedestrian streets, Museum of the west shipping industry, guided tour of the abbey or of the monastery of the Calvairiennes

Langon:
a village known for its alignment of 28 menhirs (tall upright stones), the Saint-Pierre church, chapel of Sainte-Agathe

Port de roche:
the iron bridge of Port de roche, built for the World Expo 1867 exhibition in Paris, fortified farmhouse

The beautiful River Vilaine
Our most recent boating holiday was exploring the River Vilaine where we enjoyed the mix of peaceful cruising, relaxing landscapes and stop offs at lively cities such as Redon, Rennes and Dinan which are perfect for tourists.
