Departure base

When opened in the 1980s, the port of Grez-Neuville was boat rental base in Anjou to offer waterways holidays without the need for a license. From its pleasant surroundings, you will It embark on your cruise, soon to be seduced by this natural and charming region.

Grez-Neuville: Aquarelle gallery, equestrian centre, St Martin’s church

Le Lion d'Angers: Briand Island stud

Montreuil-sur-Maine: Mariale’s cave, Chauvon

Chenillé-Changé: Church, water mill, Chateau des Rues

Daon: Leisure centre (canoes, pedalos, swimming), Fountain laundry

Ménil: Notre Dame de Bonne Fortune’s chapel, the laundry where painter Degas was inspired , “Le bac de Ménil” ferry crossing, riverside beach

Château-Gontier: Zoo, “Jardin du bout de monde” - garden at Chateau Gontier, equestrian centre, Convent of Ursulines, St Jean’s church

Entrammes: Abbey of Port Salut, Roman-Gaul Baths

When you reach Entrammes, turn back for the return leg of your cruise that takes you back through the beautiful countryside to starting base at Grez-Neuville.

We will leave next year
This was our first river cruise, but the Nicols team made us feel at home and had many sailing tips. We loved this experience! Our only regret was that we didn’t have longer! We cruise with Nicols again next year, so we must choose another destination!
