New in 2015 anjou: opening of a base in laval

Laval - a city steeped in history and with a rich heritage.

On arrival via the river Mayenne you will be greeted in the heart of the city with the thirteenth century tower of the Old Castle that overlooks the river.
Moor up and explore the medieval streets and fortifications of the thirteenth and fifteenth century. Take time to admire the monumental Gate Beucheresse – the old exit point of Brittany.

Other must sees are the House of the Large Huntsman at the top of High Street and the museum of Lactopôle - the largest museum of milk and cheese in the world!

Nature lovers can take advantage of the continuous 85km towpath that runs alongside the river Mayenne. This trail provides excellent hiking and cycling opportunities packed full of fauna, flora, castles and locks.

Gastronomic specialties are in abundance in Laval – make sure at stop offs you pick up fantastic local products especially cheeses, apples and tasty beef reared on small local farms.
