Description of
the boating holiday

The rental of your Nicols boat starts in KERKDRIEL in the heart of the NETHERLANDS, an ideal place to discover the splendid country of cheeses! From river to canal, discover the picturesque towns of Holland, its mills and its green meadows, and its fields of tulips.

Departure base

The charming little port of KERKDRIEL is located 15 km north of Bois le Duc. Two restaurants and a beach are within the immediate vicinity of the base where your Nicols boat awaits you.

Places to see and things to do

Kerkdriel: the beach is close to the base and the town centre has many restaurants.

Heusden: this fortified city is a must-stop when on the Meuse River.

Drimmelen: part of Drimmelen is classified as a ‘protected village’. The most beautiful street in the village is undoubtedly the Herengracht with its 19th century salmon fisherman’s houses.

Biesbosch: a ‘Natura 2000’ protected national park. Biesbosch Museum is also accessible by boat - you can moor in front of the museum.

Now it’s time to return to Kerkdriel. If you wish, the Zandmeren offers you more opportunities to enjoy this area - go swimming at the beach, go for a stroll, go biking or relax in a café or restaurant for a cup of coffee, a snack, lunch or dinner. In the Zandstraat you will find great places to eat such as the Dukdalf restaurant, Pavilion 212 and Brandend Zand.
