The base at Brienon is at the meeting of the Morvan foothills and the boundaries of Haut Nivernais and Burgundy. Surrounded by cliffs the meandering rivers lead to hedged farmland as well numerous medieval villages and historic towns - all inviting you to stop and explore. Visit Auxerre, a town full of art and history and Mailly le Château on its rocky spur - perfect for fishing and rock climbing.

The Armançon valley leads you towards the Burgundy canal and the Tonnerre region with its castles, abbeys and vineyards.
